You'll use Origin's stock 1/8" cutter to create the pattern details. You'll make use of Origin's offset feature to achieve optimal cut quality.

Hex Mats
The Hex Mats are a collection of placemats and coasters which will add color to any surface in your home. The mats are made using all the standard cutters that are included with Origin, meaning that you don’t need to own other tools to successfully complete the project. The Hex Mats are a perfect afternoon project for the progressing beginner and intermediate makers. You’ll create two coasters and two placemats in approximately 3 hours.

About The Project
The Hex Mats will enhance your tabletop activities with eye-catching colors and subtle details. Use the placemats in combination with the coaster to create beautiful compositions, brightening up any meal. Use the coasters on their own to add decoration to your side table.
How You'll Make It
Adding a chamfer
You'll use Origin's stock engraving bit to add subtle chamfers to the pattern.
Cutting the outer profile
You'll use Origin's stock 1/4" up-spiral cutter to cut out your Hex Mat using the offset feature to achieve optimal cut quality.
