Roland (Rollie) has been messing about with wood and machines since his early teens, building wooden stuff for a living since the last century, and has been writing for Fine Woodworking magazine for over 25 years. He has been a Contributing Editor to the magazine for 20 years. Rollie also spends a lot of time taking care of his 40 acre homestead and has recently acquired a 1929 Ford Model A Briggs sedan that needs a bunch of wood replaced. He knows a guy. In his spare time he plays Bluegrass and Gypsy Jazz mandolin and has started down the luthier path with his first guitar build.
