This is a relatively simple cell phone holder, designed to incorporate a charging pad. It easily comes apart in two pieces so it can be stowed in luggage or a drawer.

Materials

Two pieces of 1/2" hardwood, 4.5" x 8", and 4.5" x6". (I glued up scraps of walnut and Brazillian cherry)

The cell phone charging pad was made by Anker, available at Walmart. I used a spray-on poly for the finish.

Instructions

I glued up scraps of Walnut and Brazillian cherry to make the final dimension for the two boards described in the materials. I cut the shapes according to the cut pattern. Once I had the hole cut for the charging pad, I fit it for the pad and found it too small, and enlarged it slightly to make a better fit. Aside from that it was a simple matter of cutting, sanding, and finishing. I sanded it, then I gave it two coats of a spray-on poly, then sanded it with 220 grit again, then gave it one more coat of poly.
