Instructions

This project was done using maple wood cut from my farm and air dried for 5+ years. This results in some unique characteristics and color in the wood. However, it added to the sentimental value of the final piece. The Shaper Origin tool was used for: inlays, drawer pulls, mortise and Tennon joinery, and Bruso hinges mortising. Since this was my first project with Shaper Origin, the cut time was longer than it would take a more experienced person. I appreciated the level of accuracy afforded by Shaper Origin. I also learned the importance of using the Grid function for placement accuracy. The inlay wood diamond pattern was done using maple and purple heart. Inlay mortise was done using Shaper Origin. Overall, I am very satisfied with the Shaper products!
