I made this jewelry box using wood from a Chestnut tree I cut in my garden years ago. The slots are sized to the collection of my wife, you should adjust them to yours!

Box: Hard wood (Chestnut was my choice)
Cover: black Valchromat 9mm thick, 225x113
supporting plate: 18mm plywood, and two scraps of 7mm pine.
Origin with 6x30mm cutter
supporting plate combined with the Workstation, to avoid tipping Origin on the edges.
For convenience, I have used a supporting panel which is placed on the arms of the workstation. Look at the pictures in the File section. It avoids Origin to fall in the large pockets, and also to rectify the upper surface of the box in case the stock is rough. (it was my case since I cut it with a chainsaw!!!). Use a scrap of plywood, and cut a rectangle that would contain your stock for the box and cover. I added two scraps of pine to elevate it further on the two workstation arms, so it ends really flush with the Workstation domino surface. Use the same SVG to cut the box and the cover. The larger outer (perimeter) line is used to cut the part out of the stock. The double-line, close to the perimeter line, is used for: - the groove on the box, by doing an inner cut, 5mm deep. This will hold the cover in place. - the « tenon-ring » of the cover, by doing two outside cuts. 4mm deep for some play. To pocket the inside part of the cover, I did a series of 5mm incremental offsets. If the assembly of the cover is too tight, you can enlarge slightly the groove on the box side, by re-cutting with a fake cutter size of 5.8mm (if using a 6mm cutter). I used Rubio Monocoat Pure 2C (incolore) for the finish, it does wonders to the Valchromat. Have fun!
