Quick and easy way to organize your AeroPress coffee tools and accessories using some of that leftover stock you don't know what to do with! This design holds the AeroPress chamber, plunger, filter cap, and stirrer, as well as a couple of accessories (the AeroPress Filter holder and either the AeroPress flow control cap or Fellow Prismo attachment).

Materials

- Hardwood of your choice, approximately 13" x 8" and at least 0.75" thick [I used 4/4 white oak for mine]

- Finish of choice [I used a combination of Walrus Oil's cutting board oil and wood wax: https://walrusoil.com/collections/all/products/cutting-board-oil-and-wood-wax-bundle ]

- (Optional) Rubber feet for the bottom [I used 1/2" Everbilt bumpers from Home Depot: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt-1-2-in-Clear-Soft-Rubber-Like-Plastic-Self-Adhesive-Round-Bumpers-16-Pack-49967/203661150 ]

Tools

- Shaper Origin with stock 1/8" and 1/4" bits

- (Optional) Shaper Workstation

- (Optional) trim router with 1/4" round-over bit

- Sandpaper [I used 120 and 240 grit]

Instructions

1. Cut and mill your hardwood stock to a workable size (I cut mine to approximately 13" x 8"). 2. Scan and create a new workspace on Origin, optionally creating a new grid for alignment. 3. Using the stock 1/8" bit, cut the stirrer slot to a depth of 0.4" 4. Check the slot for fit, and use a negative offset if needed/desired to achieve the fit you'd like [I used a -0.01" offset] 5. Using the stock 1/4" bit, cut the remaining slots to a depth of 0.4" 6. Again check each piece for fit and use a negative offset as needed [I used a -0.01" offset for the filter holder]. 7. Trim the piece if needed or desired [I ended up leaving 5/8" on all sides for a finished dimension of about 11" x 6"]. 8. Optionally use a trim router to round-over the edges of the piece [I used a 1/4" round-over bit]. 9. Sand and apply your finish of choice 10. Optionally add rubber feet to the bottom. Notes: (A) In addition to the standard AeroPress chamber, plunger, stirrer and filter cap, this design currently has spaces for: - The AeroPress Filter Holder (https://aeropress.com/products/aeropress-original-filter-holder), and - The Fellow Prismo attachment (https://fellowproducts.com/products/prismo), but this should also work with the AeroPress Flow Control filter cap (https://aeropress.com/products/aeropress-flow-control-filter-cap) (B) See the accompanying AeroPress_Coffee_Organizer_Map file for a one-page cheat sheet with all of the bit diameters, depths, and offsets that I used. (C) The encoded depths on this project file are all set to 0.4", but feel free to adjust if you want the components to sit deeper in the stock.
