Materials

Double sided tape

I used 12/4 walnut (roughly 4in x 4in per salt cellar)

Sand Paper

Any food safe finish ( I used Odie's oil)

1/4 dowel rod

wood glue

small earth magnets(harbor freight ones are perfect)

Super glue

8mm bit

16mm clearing bit(optional)

1/8in bit

Instructions

1-Prep your 12/4 wood of choice down to 4in x 4in for one salt cellar or 4in x 8in for two. 2-Cut 1/2 in off the top of the wood block on the band saw for the lid. 3-Use your work station and prepare the wood to be cut using the double sided tape to anchor down. 4-The outer circle is cut on the outside down to 1.5in 5- I cut the pocket out for the salt/pepper down to 1.25in(pocket out and cut on the inside of the circle). 6- Cut the whole for the 1/4 dowels rod about 3/4in deep(may need to do an offset cut for the rod) 7- Cut the whole for the magnet to the size and thickness of the earth magnet you get. 8- After down cutting, pull off and cut out the cellars on the band saw. 9- Next, prep the the 1/2in piece from he beginning on the workstation for the lids and begin cutting out the outer circle. 10- Cut the 1/4 dowel hole all the way through(may need to offset). 11- Cut the whole to the size of your earth magnet. 12- Sand down your pieces and glue the dowel rod to the lid sawing off the excess after drying 13- Glue your earth magnets in the body and lid of the salt cellar. 14- Finish with your choice of food safe finish.
