Instructions

For a complete guide on how to make and fit these, watch the linked youtube video! * If the SVGs included in the ZIP files above are not right for your setup or if you would like to support my work then you can pick up fully parametric CNC files for these tool holders on my Etsy store: https://goto.hswdesign.co/shaper-accessory-cad All my cut files and plans are free for those who join me over on Patreon 👉 https://goto.hswdesign.co/patreon Parameters used in the zipped SVGs are: --- METRIC for 60mm and 80mm Cleat Thickness of ply used for wall cleat - 17.8mm Thickness of ply used for bracket - 14.8mm Height of cleat face - 80mm or 60mm Diameter of locking peg - 16mm Offset for locking peg - 0.1mm End-mill/bit diameter - 6mm End-mill/bit offset - 1mm --- IMPERIAL for 3" and 2.5" cleats Thickness of ply used for wall cleat - 3/4” Thickness of ply used for bracket - 1/2” Height of cleat face - 2.5” Diameter of locking peg - 1/2” Offset for locking peg - 0.005” End-mill/bit diameter - 1/4” End-mill/bit offset - 0.02” --- Workstation bracket (metric for all) Shelf pin offset - 30mm (Only increase if you increase pin diameter) Shelf pin diameter - 6mm (dowel pin diameter) Shelf pin diameter offset - 0.1mm (allows for easier fit of shelf pin) Bore depth - 11mm (depth of bore for dowel pin) --- Plate bracket (metric for all) Insert diameter - 7mm (threaded insert diameter) Insert diameter offset - 0.1mm (allows for easier fit of threaded insert) Bore depth - 11mm (depth of bore for threaded insert) --- Mortice jig (metric for all) Insert diameter - 7mm (threaded insert diameter) Bore depth - 11mm (depth of bore for pin/insert) Bore offset - 0.1mm (allows for easier fit of pin/insert) Pin diameter - 5mm (dowel pin diameter) --- Shelf (metric for all) Nut socket size - 13mm (OD socket size for nut used to secure angle bracket) Nut thickness - 6.8mm (Thickness of M8 nut used) Magnet diameter - 10mm (diameter of magnets used to secure wrench to front of insert) Magnet bore depth - 3.1mm (thickness of the magnets used) A few other important notes: - For the Workstation bracket you will need to source metal dowel pins. I have specified 6mm diameter (+0.1mm offset) however you can cut a different size helix using on tool offset. Just be careful here as position of the bore hole will also change relative to the wall if you change offset. This might result in more or less play when workstation is stored. - For the Plate bracket you will need to install a threaded insert and pair with a specific metric Thumb screw. The spec of which needs to match this part -> https://www.accu.co.uk/knurled-thumb-screws-din-464/21248-SKT-M5-10-A1. For those in the US, I believe you can get similar from McMaster. - I know zip files are annoying as you need to download and then re-upload to use with Origin. However there are a lot of files and this way there is less chance that you will cut with the wrong file!
