Instructions

This project fits on a single sheet of plywood. I Shaper taped the entire board 3” apart and scanned the entire board as a single workspace. Scanned vertically and horizontally overlapping one new line at a time for accuracy. After the pieces are cut, use an orbital sander with 220 grit to clean up all the rough edges, and then hand sand for detail. After sanding, attach the stands to the back with two screws each. There is only one way to attach the stands where the flat edges all make solid contact. I had to make some 2x4 feet becasue the top is a bit of a sail and it kept getting blown over. I included a second file for the feet. The manger and stands slot into the 2x4s and then I screwed them in place. Staple the brass rod to the back of the stars one at a time, hold the star above the manger and then staple the rod in place, cut excess and repeat for the remaining stars. I only ended up attaching 2 stars. Paint the rods a flat dark color so they do not shine when the spotlight is on the scene at night. This will make the stars appear to float. I painted my scene flat white so there would be no glare on any single point from the spotlight. 15 min to tape 15 min to scan 1 hr to cut 1 hr sanding, attaching stand and stars
