Shaper makes it easy to create small accents and details for you projects. This is one example: Drawer pulls. I was building a jewelry box for my daughter and wanted something different for the drawer pulls. Here's how I did it. First - figure out how you want the drawer pull to look. I wanted to have red heart, maple, and ebony layered. Prepare the stock - I glued the maple and ebony face grain together, then a piece of red heart glued to the endgrain. That makes the stem of the pull stronger. When the laminate is dry, mount it. I use double sided tape to hold the tiny piece after I cut all the way through. After mounting the stock, I created two concentric circles. I cut the smaller one (.5 inch diameter) outside to .5 inch deep. Then, I cut the larger circle outside to the depth of the stock. If the space between the small and large circles is wider than your bit diameter, you'll need to pocket out the difference. The double sided tape holds the pull and keeps it from moving even after cutting through. Hopefully the pictures help the explanation. The grape in the picture is for comparison. They're small. :)
