Instructions

Part #1: is to be cut upside down (photos 2-3) with an "outside" cut and 1/8 bit. (Based on using 3/8" wood) Part #1: Do a "outside" cut 1/8 deep around center section. Part #1: Pocket cut top 1/8 deep, around the whole top leaving center section. This will make the top 1/4" thick on the sides and 3/8" in the middle. Part #2: Using a 1/8" bit do a , "Outside" cut around body of guitar. (Based on using 5/8" wood) Part #2: Use a 1/8 bit for a "Inside" cut than, "pocket cut center out to a depth of 1/2". This will leave 1/8" thickness at the bottom. Test fit Part #1 and adjust with offset to make a snug fit. Now cutout inlay pieces out. I use a 1/8 collet with a 1/32 bit diameter. You should be able to get the similar results with a 1/16 bit. Fit Parts #1 and 2 together and proceed to cut pockets for inlays to depth. Adjust using "Offstets" for tight fitment. I left my inlays slightly "proud" in order to sand them flush. Also, i included the neck of the guitar in case you would like to make a full guitar. Photo 4 shows a small pocket cutout for the neck to be inserted and glued. I will be adding magnets to mine, just to keep the lid in place better. Sorry if my instructions are confusing. It's really not that hard, just refer to the photos for help. Main thing is, go up by small increments when using offsets.
