newel post with kumiko carved decoration
our client desired a particular newel post. we came up with this idea of decorating the four sides of the oak newel post with a design that recalls the kumiko technique. after having decided on the drawing designed with illustrator we did some tests to center the drawing on the face and off we went!!! Good fun.
