The cabinet is perhaps the most ubiquitous of woodworking projects. Anything with doors or drawers requires a cabinet to house them, from the most basic of kitchen cabinetry to the most ornate Federal-style chest of drawers. Cabinet making–or casework, as it’s called in production shops–dominates the landscape, and learning how to make a strong, durable cabinet is key to advancing your woodworking skills.
