Instructions

This interlocking tenon joint is a simple 2 cut joint for table tops. A 1x3" cut and a 2x3" cut These plans are based on 2"x3" lumber dimensions. I used the shaper workstation for this making it an easily repeatable workflow. Once tour pieces are all cut it's a matter of puzzling them together. Because of the simplicity of the interlocking tenon joint you can use the same cuts for right or left sides by simply rotating the pieces. It helps to remember that this joint has a 'right' and 'left'-hand version, and adjacent joints will have to be opposites, and diagonal corners will be identical. Once joined I fill the 1x1x1 empty space with a walnut cube then cut the whole corner at 45deg. for ascetics.
