All kids need positive, inspiring messages! These can be great while they battle pretend monsters. These can be made be made within a short afternoon or refined over several days. If using as a toy, make sure to blunt the point and have a responsible adult supervise use. Make sure to sand and finish any wood to prevent splinters.

I used real milk paint in the engraved parts, finished with tung oil and citrus solvent (from real milk paint) and wrapped the handle with either leather or 2mm hemp cord

Free detailed plans are available https://www.dubosewoodworking.com/free-plans/ For engravings, I used the shaper engraving bit between 0.020" to 0.040" I only cut the the outline of the sword, pommel and hilt to 0.25" and finished them with the bandsaw and router table (flush trim bit). This is a little more efficient when doing multiples and saves some wear and tear on the CNC bits.
