3/4" plywood spray paint: Orange, green, yellow black paint conduit straps metal pipe (cut to length) double sided tape self tapping screws 1/2"
Shaper origin screw driver hammer screws paint brushes (different size tips)
Use Shaper Origin to cut out of plywood for outline and either screw supports for a metal pole on the back or glue/screw a stake to back instead. Add paint and voilà, lawn decoration! Cutting: step 1: Secure desired size to workspace with double sticky tape Before cutting outline: step 2: Use v bit to "score" each line on the inside of the pumpkin to make drawing and painting easier. Set a shallow depth to lightly cut the notch. Your goal is to have a line that is barely noticeable, but can still be seen through 2-3 layers of spray paint. Step 3: cut outline to free project from plywood sheet. Painting: Step 1: Spray with orange first over everything (see tip below) Step 2: Mask off top of design for hat, and color green then, if desired, mask and use a darker shade of green for the under side of hat, for shadow effect. (see tip below) Step 3: Mask and paint eyes next. (see tip below) Step 4: Detailing with black lines Construction: Step 1: Attach conduit straps in line with pipe (cut to length) at desired height behind the craft. If you put the pipe against a hard surface and hit with a hammer, you will "mushroom" the top and it will not slide off of your project when you remove from ground. "Mushroom" pipe before you attach. Step 2: Loosen screws for straps and fasten pipe down in place with wood screws (link below). Use one self tapping metal screw through the conduit into the pipe to secure it in place, to avoid slipping. You may need to pre-drill this step, or skip it altogether. TIP!!! Spray a scrap piece of wood at the same time that you apply each layer of color to use to test the tackyness of the paint, so you don't have finger marks in your project! conduit straps 1/2" bag of 10. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Oatey-1-2-in-Galvanized-2-Hole-Pipe-Hanger-Strap-10-Pack-33542/303434708 pipe 1/2": https://www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt-36-in-x-1-2-in-x-1-16-in-Aluminum-Round-Tube-801247/204274002 frog tape for delicate surface: https://www.homedepot.com/p/FrogTape-Delicate-Surface-1-88-in-x-60-yds-Painter-s-Tape-with-PaintBlock-240966/203081283 double sided tape: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Great-Tape-2-5-in-x-25-ft-No-Slip-Rug-Tape-Roll-14810/300278639 Spray paint: your choice, but THD had rustoleum as top rated https://www.homedepot.com/p/Rust-Oleum-Painter-s-Touch-2X-12-oz-Gloss-Real-Orange-General-Purpose-Spray-Paint-334043/307244807 Self tapping screws 1/2": https://www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt-8-x-1-2-in-Phillips-Pan-Head-Zinc-Plated-Sheet-Metal-Screw-100-Pack-801032/204275066 Wood screws 1/2": https://www.homedepot.com/p/Rok-8-x-1-2-in-Philips-Truss-Head-Standard-Thread-Wood-Screw-Zinc-100-Pack-ROKS8X12TPSZ-100/303035163 Paint Brushes for detail work: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Angled-Artist-Paint-Brush-Set-4-Piece-AM-4044/205671666 Black paint: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Rust-Oleum-Painter-s-Touch-8-oz-Flat-Black-General-Purpose-Paint-1976730/100121945
