any hardwood scraps, the top was .48 inches thick, the base was .85

i cut the pocket 1st and left about 1/18 for the bottom, then i cut out the box using autopass. for the top lip i went 1/8 around the outside then cut out the shape of the top, i used a 1/16 bit to complete with offsets until the bottom slipped on snuggly. my final offset was -.02. a bit of sanding and laser engrave and it was done;)
