This bench is a left handed version. If you want to use the files for a right handed version, simple mirror the files ! The project contains the files to cut the Condor Dovtails incl. End Cap, Sliding Deadman, Dog Blog for the tail vise, Leg Joinery and files for the face vise incl. Criss Cross retro installation. The basis for my bench was the instructional file from Guido Henn which is available at https://www.fine-tools.com/benchcrafted.html in combination with the Instructions available on the Benchcrafted Website https://www.benchcrafted.com/instructions. You can download CAD files on that website of Fine Tool, but be aware, that the dimensions of the hardware has changed! The hole for the screws is now reduced to 32mm so you can not take the dimensions of the PDF or the CAD files which is 38mm. Therefore I have created new files that worked perfect for the dimensions of my bench but may need to adjust the files to fit the dimensions of your bench. NOTE: Attention: The dimensions of your bench or wood may differ and the files must be adjusted to the correct dimensions !!! Condor Dovetails: The project contains two files. One for the End Cap and one for the front laminate piece. I recommend to cut the long piece first. Start with a pocket cut and follow with inside cuts and clean up the corners with a chisel. Afterwards cut the negative into the cap using the Workstation. It does not hurt if you let both pieces a little bit longer and cut to size afterwards just in case you need a 2nd try. The end cap needs large a mortise to accept the tenon of the end of the bench top. I cut the mortise with the Shaper, too and the large tenon was cut with a traditional router like it was used in the video of Guido Henn. (https://youtu.be/3pfm6URciYc) Sliding Deadman: I cut the contour and the 2 Inch / 19mm holes with the origin. Next time would just mark the center of the holes with a small bit and the Shaper Origin and follow with a drill press. The contour was cut with the Origin and then I followed with a router plus template bit. Leg vise: I used the hardware from Benchcrafted (see link) in combination with the Criss Cross RETRO. The mortis and the hole for the screw where cut first and the outline was cut afterwards followed with a template bit. The chamfers where added with a bench plane by hand. Joinery of the legs: I used the legs themself to create a workspace. Simple clamp the legs together and add some shaper tape. (see picture) The tenons on top of the legs are the same for all legs (just the orientation differs, so make sure you double check before starting the cut). I used the same file for the legs (clamped to the Workstation) and the underside of the bench tops (shape tape) . Simple switch from inside to outside cut. The short stretchers where cut with the Shaper Origin, too. The tenons on the long stretchers are to big to be cut with the Shaper so I used a traditional router with a large bit that was recommended on the Guido Henn instructions (see link). The mortise was cut with the shaper and refined with a Chisel.
