Instructions

1. Go to https://so.syabru.ch/ and start «Half blind dovetail» module or go directly to https://so.syabru.ch/module/half-blind-dovetails 2. Adjust parameters. 3. Download mortise board and dovetail board cut path. 4. Upload to your personal Shaper Hub or store on USB stick. Dovetail board: 6a. Place dovetail board in Shaper Workstation. Make sure that edge aligns properly (see pictures). 6b. Scan new workspace. 6c. Create new grid (10 mm, with origin upper left or right of dovetail board). 6d. Import «dovetail_board». 6e. Mirror design accordingly. 6f. Use custom anchor point to align cut path. 6g. (Optional) Insert 6 mm spiral cutter, configure width and do a Z-touch. 6h. (Optional) Select geometry and do a pocket cut with spiral cutter to depth < dovetail height. 6i. Insert dovetail bit, configure width and do a Z-touch. 6j. Configure depth to dovetail height (cut path is depth-encoded). 6l. Select geometry and do inside cut. DO NOT RETRACT while cutting (if not used to auto-mode, avoid it). Mortise board: 7a. Place mortise board in Shaper Workstation (see pictures). 7b. Scan new workspace. 7c. Create new grid (10 mm, with origin upper left or upper right of mortise board). 7d. Import ««mortise board». 7e. Rotate design accordingly. 7f. Use custom anchor point and visually align anchor point with origin of grid. 7g. (Optional) Insert 6 mm spiral cutter, configure width and do a Z-touch. 7h. (Optional) Select geometry and do a pocket cut where cut depth < dovetail height. 7k. Insert dovetail bit, configure width and do a Z-touch. 7l. Configure depth to «dovetail height» (cut path is depth-encoded). 7m. Configure offset to 0.2 mm 7n. Select geometry and do an inside cut. DO NOT RETRACT while cutting (if not used to auto-mode, avoid it). 7o. Test fit with dovetail board and adjust offset (an offset of 0.1 mm resulted in a tight fit). 7p. Reduce offset as needed and cut again. Congratulations!
