Instructions

Mount brass sheet on spoiler board with a Shaper Tape panel positioned at the same level as the brass sheet. This should be oriented horizontal, two inches high (y axis) and 36 inches wide (x axis.) After scanning, establish grid with the first probe on right side of x axis, second probe left side of x axis and the third probe on y axis. Import the file with x y set to 0 and anchor position lower left. File has a red right angel triangle that automatically positions image to the lower left corner of the grid. Confirm image is positioned properly on scanned image. Note: Cutouts of the inch markers extend past the edge of the brass sheet to allow the bit to establish a bite into the brass at the edge. Set spindle speed to 2 and auto speed to 4. Depth of cut should be set to .11 and Offset of 0 for all cuts except the inside cuts of the numbers which should be set at (minus) -0.002. Use AutoPass set to 3 passes. (I don’t think I would want to do this without AutoPass because there are so many cutouts for the numbers.) Note: The inside offset helps reduce the number of segments needed for each number.
