Materials

Piece of MDF 16" x 12" or larger should be fine.

Tools

1/4" upcut endmill (Diablo from Home Depot)

Instructions

All components are tight on purpose. Everything from the outside cut for Systainer profile, through individual fitting for each plane is adjusted on the fly with offsets. This way you can achieve just the right fit. The depths for the pockets are an arbitrary 1/8" and just enough to provide clearance for blades. That way you can safely store your planes with the blades extended and ready to grab and use at a moment's notice. The key for the various pockets is as follows: LN62 - Lie Nielsen No. 62 low angle jack plane LN4 - Lie Nielsen No. 4 smooth plane BC9 - Bridge City HP-9v2 block plane BC1 - Bridge City HP-8 mini plane 45 - 45 degree fence for Bridge City HP-9v2 block plane HG - Bridge City HG-4 honing guide BC9run - Height limiters for Bridge City HP-9v2 block plane BC1run - Height limiters for Bridge City HP-8 mini plane AB - Angle setting block for Bridge City HG-4 honing guide bits - Was a Shaper cardboard bit tube and now holds various hardware for these tools
