Instructions

English (german version below) Measurements: The inside opening is 120mm x 80mm x 80mm Mill and cut your material to size accordingly (add twice the material thickness in length). We have built some out of maple, oak, cherry, walnut... you could also make them out of plywood if you want to. For the bottom part we used 10mm blackened MDF, cut a rebate all the around and simply glued it to the bottom. More traditional would be tongue and groove but the way we did it, you have a bit more space inside and it kinda looks like it is "floating". Building instructions: Mill and cut your material and use the Box Joint Basic function to cut your box joints (leave enough space for glue). Cut the rebate on the bottom part and glue it in, don't forget to check for squareness. After the glue is dried, sand everything nice and flush. Use Origin to cut in whatever shape you like into the front of your box (an oval, a square...), to make it easier and quicker to open it with the flick of a finger. Use Origin to cut the holes for the two hinges into the box and the lid. Get the surface ready with some oil and you are good to go. Deutsch Maße: Die Innenmaße der Salzbox sind 120mm x 80mm x 80mm. Je nachdem welches Material ihr nutzen möchtet, bzw. welche Reste ihr noch übrig habt, bei der Stückliste einfach zwei mal die Dicke des Materials zu den Maßen addieren. Für den Boden haben wir 10mm starkes schwarzes MDF genutzt. Bauanleitung: Das Material aushobeln und zuschneiden. Mit der Box Joint Basic Funktion die Fingerzinken in die Teile fräsen. Einen Falz in das schwarze MDF schneiden und alle Teile miteinander verleimen. Nicht vergessen auf Rechtwinkligkeit zu kontrollieren. Nachdem der Leim getrocknet ist, die Kiste ausspannen und die Verbindungen schleifen. Mit Origin könnt ihr euch jetzt, frei nach Schnauze, eine Form in die Vorderseite der Box fräsen, damit ihr sie einfach mit einem Finger öffnen könnt. Das kann ein Oval sein, oder ein Rechteck oder was auch immer euch einfällt. Danach mit Hilfe der Workstation die beiden Löcher für die Einbohrbänder einfräsen. Die Oberfläche ölen und fertig.
