This bear coin bank makes a great baby gift. You can even engrave the name and birthdate on the back or the bottom. All of the cutting is done with Shaper Origin and the eyes and nose are made with a plug cutter at the drill press.

-- 2 pieces of 3/4" to 7/8" thick dark wood (walnut, cherry, sapele, etc). 9.5" by 11" and 5.75" by 7.25"
-- Light wood (maple) 0.15" thick 2.5" by 6"
-- 2 pieces of 3mm thick clear acrylic 5.75" by 7.25"
-- Dark wood for eyes 3/4" thick at least 2" by 2"
-- Light wood for eyes 3/4" thick at least 2" by 2"
-- 3 dowel pins each 1/4" in diameter and 0.5" long. These can be wood or metal.
-- #4 of #6 screws 1/2" long to secure the acrylic to the bank
-- Glue
-- Your favourite finish
-- Shaper Origin and workstation
-- Some sort of tape board
-- 1/8" and 1/4" router bits
-- Drill press or hand drill
-- 3/8" tapered plug cutter
-- 3/8" brad point drill bit
-- Drum sander (optional)
