This is a guide bushing to be used with a spindle moulder. A template rides along the front edge of the bushing to control the depth of cut. My design is for a Hammer F3 spindle moulder but it could easily be adapted for other machines.

Instructions

I used maple just under 1/2" thick maple for the bushing and thinned the centre section to just under 1/4" to allow me to lower my cutterhead. You can see in some of the photos that I also added some small blocks on each side to help with alignment and also to fasten short sections of tape measure to allow for fine adjustment. You will likely need to adapt the bolt hole positions for your spindle moulder. You can also change the diameter of the inner and outer circles to suit your cutterhead. To reduce friction, I added a strip of UHMW tape on the front edge. Refer to my Instagram account to see the bushing in action @BedrosianWoodworks
