Instructions

Game is 10" x 7" (Maple .76" thick). I cut this on a large spoil board that I attached to the worktable. I used a piece of 11" x 8" of hardwood to cut the game from. I put a piece of Oramask over the face of the game prior to cutting. The holes for the pegs are 1/8" and I cut to a depth of 0.55" as the pegs seem to fit the best at this depth. The letters were cut out with the engraving bit at 0.05" depth. I cut frustration rummy out at 0.09" depth. When the game was fully cut out, I blew the dust out with compressed air and sprayed the board with black paint. When dry, I peeled the oramask off and gave the face of the board a light sand with 400 grit sandpaper. Magnets are Neodymium Disc Magnets (.472" Dia x .118" thick). Frustration rummy peg cutout file has 2 files in it. One has 2 magnets and the other 1 magnet. I prefer one magnet in the middle, as it is very hard to open with a magnet at each end but maybe you want to add to the frustration. For the peg cutout, cut the wooden insert first and then cut the game board. I made the wooden insert 0.4" in depth. The full cutout where your fingers go; I cut that at 0.3". I used an offset of -0.005" so that the insert was not tight. I cut the inserts for the pegs for single magnet set up to a depth of 1.1". * Be careful with the long bit. The Amana 46577 bit is 3" in length and just a fraction up off of the workstation when in the shaper router. DON'T scratch your board! Enjoy, wooD wencH
