A quick and easy way to support the larger Quick-Grip clamps. I don't have a bench vice, so there are times when it's handy to clamp a project with a QG. This handly little fixture allows you to operate the clamp handle with one hand without the clamp falling. And when you're finished, it stores nice and flat, and you never lose the leg.

Be sure to "sneak-up" on the width of the two grooves where the leg fits into the body and where the clamp bar fits into the top groove. You want to make sure they are nice and snug-fitting. And that will change depending on the thickness of the plywood your using. I used a .01 offset then made a couple passes of .005 at a time till the fit was perfect. I ended up cutting both the leg and the leg cut-out on the line (no offset) and it fit well. I finished the corners of the groove in the leg with a square edge file to detail the fit there as well.
