Systainer insert for the Trace along w/ 1/4 inch and 8mm bits. Also a spot for the pen that is provided with Trace. Please note that this insert is in a Tanos Systainer vs. a Festool Systainer so the outline of the insert needs to be different. I had to do some trimming of the insert so it would fit in the Tanos Systainer.

Instructions

I have attached the link to a supplier where you can order the two inch crosslinked poly foam that you can make the systainer insert from. I have provided photos of the two jigs I use to make the systainer insert. The one with the square opening is the one I initially use to make the outline of the systainer insert. The width of the opening is just proud of 16". The depth just needs to exceed 12". I typically cut a piece of the crosslinked poly foam just proud of 16" side by a minimum of 12" and use double sided sticky tape. The jig with the outline of the systainer insert is made with the outline of the systainer insert available in Shaper Hub using an inside cut. Once I cut the outline of the systainer insert, I remove the initial jig and place the outline jig on the cut piece. Since I used the double sided sticky tape, the systainer insert outline will remain in place. Both jigs are built up with scrap wood so the final height to the top is 2" for both.
