This is my first uploaded project since I got my shaper origin a month or so ago. I absolutely love it. I needed a stand to get my laptop off of the limited 'desk real estate' we have in our fifth wheel Montana. This project utilizes some joinery, rounded profiles and an elliptical base to sit on. If anyone has questions, please feel free to submit them on the 'Community' thread found here: https://community.shapertools.com/t/16-macbook-pro-stand-walnut/7048

1) Prepare your wood e.g. cut to rough lengths/domino or biscuit to get needed width/glue and clamp up 2) Easiest to set grid and nest your base/front/stand top= cut with origin. **Side notes: You'll notice that there are a number of random 1/4" holes throughout the top in the pictures as well (holes are for overall aesthetics as well as venting for the MacBook). These aren't in the svg file... this was my first attempt at 'on tool' circle creation/copy + paste throughout the workpiece. Worked very well!!! ** I didn't add the mortise holes in the top svg file... this is so you can drop where you need to in order to account for the center of gravity of your particular machine etc. 3) Clamped up (2) 3/4" x 1.25" lengths to construct a 1.25" x 1.5" center post. 4) Switch to vertical workstation and cut your tenons; both straight and the angled end you decide on. 5) SAFETY!! Use 2-way tape to adhere your currently square post to round over all of the edges 6) Sand sand san 7) Glue up and sand some more 8) Add finish of your choice Hope some enjoy this project and can adapt it to something else they'd use!!!
