Another weekend project for your Shaper Origin. This project will work with any type of stock as long as your stock has minimum thickness of 18mm. I wanted to give solid wood a try. So, I went with walnut. The box will hold 1-Apple pencil (gen 2) 1-USB-C charge cable (2m) 1-Magic mouse 1-96W USB-C adapter 2-USB-C to USB adapter 1-SD and Micro SD card reader 2-Extra slots for thump drive Btw, if you don't mind, would you help support my YouTube channel? Thanks :)

Materials

- Stock: 2 sheet of solid walnut (18 x 150 x 280mm)

- 1 pair of barrel hinge (10mm)

- Sand paper

- Wood finishing product of you choice

Tools

- Shaper Origin (with 1/4' up-cut bit)

- Sander (cord or cordless)

- Sanding block

- Router with 1/4" round and 45 degree chamfer (chamfer is optional)

- Trim router table (for better result)

- Small hammer

Instructions

- Cut all of the pieces with Shaper Origin. Pocket depths are identified on the SVG files - Before you remove the finish pieces from workstation, double check to make sure that your Mac accessories fit. You can make the pockets wider or deeper if the stock is still attached to the table. - The provided files include holes for magnets. I found that the hinges I bought are strong enough the keep the lids close. So, you may omit the magnets - Use router to route top and bottom edges of the box - Sand all surfaces (if you will be using Sam Maloof product, it's recommended to sand all the way to 400 grid) - Install the barrel hinges. It's a tight fit. Make sure that the hinge open toward the correct side before you install. Once it goes in, it doesn't come out - Seal all surfaces with wood finishing of your choice
