A very simple to make wall hook. I kept this piece of scrap redwood plank in my garage for a long time. I was glad I found a use for it. I uploaded 3 SVG files for your use. Hook single.svg, if you only one hook. Hook pair.svg, if you need to make a pair. jig.svg is also provided, but totally optional. If you need, I documented the entire process and uploaded it on YouTube, you can also reference it there as well. Never stop making. Cheers

Materials

- Stock:

I used a scrap piece of 280mm (11") x 1100mm (43") x 18mm (3/4") redwood plank. It yielded a pair.

- Glue

- Sand paper

- Wood polish and conditioner

- Screws and wall anchors

Tools

- Shaper Origin (with 1/4' up-cut bit)

- Sander

- Drill

- Countersink drill bit

- Router with your favorite router bit (Optional)

Instructions

1. Cut away all pockets. Since my stock is 18mm thick, I cut away 9.5mm deep to give a little room to fit the wall attachment pieces. 2. Cut all the required pieces. On my file, I made more of the wall attachment pieces than I actually need. You don't need to cut it all. 3. Glue the long mirror pieces together. Make sure that the pockets are toward the center. 4. You will most likely be left with a small nubs on the wall attachment pieces after the cut. Sand it down 5. Drill and countersink a hole on the wall attachment pieces. Take a look at the picture and make sure that you countersink the correct side. 6. Sand the hook down to your desire finish. Use router to round off the corners if you wish. 7. Condition the wood. I used Feed N Wax wood polish 8 Install. I also provide a file for you to cut a jig. If you have it cut, this step will be much easier.
