Instructions

Cut the birch. I started with the smallest bit and cut the teeth and trees out in a series of passes. Then I used the 1.8mm and the 1/8in bits to finish the rest of the cuts. Cut the MDF. Using the 1/8 in bit I did a -.2 offset at .25 depth to start making the groove for the LED. Then I did another pass at a -.32 offet at .25 depth followed by a .4 depth at just the -.32 offset. This groove fit the LED in snug at the bottom but left a little room at the top for the light to escape. Then cut the perimeter of the MDF completely out. I also cut a few spacers out of 1/4 in MDF scrapes that I had to create the gap between the top and bottom pieces and glued them down in places that would support the top but also not be exposed. Sanding Seal then paint the MDF. Stain then Poly the birch. Insert the LEDs with the lights facing toward the center (I did not glue them in in case they ever need to be changed). Small screws into select MDF spacer so you can remove the top to fix lights if needed. Or just glue the whole thing together and hope the lights last. **On the file you will see my mounting method in the center of the dinosaurs head. This fits my mounting that I cut into the back of the MDF but the dimensions will probably be different depending on what you use.
