1/2 plywood
#6 by 7/8ths wood screws
Wood glue
Origin and Workstation (duh, why else would you make this?)
Drill and bit for pilot hole (around 5/64ths)
Awl (or nail) to mark the spots for pilot holes
Countersink tool
1. Mill the base and lugs. 2. Dry fit the lugs into the mortises in the base. The fit isn't critical, but I had to sand the lugs a little to get them to fit. UPDATE: New version as of August 27th has a wider mortise 3. With the lugs in place, use an awl through the bottom of the base to mark the lugs for four pilot holes (two per lug). 4. Remove the lugs from the base and drill the pilot holes in the lugs. 5. Countersink the screw holes in the base bottom so the screws will be flush. 6. Assemble with screws and glue. Note that the little retention ball on the pin will be inside the lug when the pin is installed, but it holds fine. UPDATE: New version as of Aug 25 has shoulders on the lugs so the pin ball ought to emerge from the lugs.
