Tired of losing our Apple TV remote down the side of the couch cushion, I decided I wanted something bigger to hold onto. This is just a piece of scrap 1/2 plywood, but you could use walnut or mahogany. 👍🏻 the remote just friction fits into the indentation. The logo is cut with a 1/16 cutter but you could use the engraving bit too. Make sure you tape the back and do the outside cut last. There is a hole that you can skip. It was just out there in case the remote gets stuck.

1/2 plywood. You can substitute with whatever.
Shaper Origin
1/4” Shaper bit for the hogging out of the indent.
1/16” Upcut but for the apple
Logo but you could use the engraving bit.
Tape, z-touch, and pocket cut the indentation. I used 3.5 mm for the depth. I started at 0 offset. Then I used the 1/8” bit to cut inside and creeped outward to about -.01. I just kept trying the remote until I got a fit that worked. Then I switched to the 1/16 bit and cut the logo on the line. The last cut was 1/2 inch deep and released the remote from the sheet of plywood. I had it double sided taped down so it wouldn’t go flying. A little sanding and some Odies and it was set to use.
