Plywood - approx 11mm (1/2 inch) 450mm x 450mm (18 inch x 18 inch) A Bulb (wich has a reflecting lower half (!!! the bulb in the second picture is not correct !!! ) lamp holder that can be mounted on wall or ceiling
Shaper Origin and Cutter (I just used a 8mm rough cutter) Sanding Paper
Preparation 1) Fix your Plywood to surface (I used screw in the corners but you can use double sided tape as well) 2) Place Shaper Tape and Scan 3) Place a GRID! 4) Place File 5) Use on Tool CAD to place a Circle in the middle with the dimensons of the diameter of your lamp holder Cutting 1) Cut middle hole and fit your lamp holder. (Use offset until everything fits perfectly) 2) Set offset to (around) 4mm . This template has to be used with offset or you will cut everything away... you can determine the Offset as to your liking . I used an 8 mm rouging bit with an offsett of 4mm. 3) Cut all holes, then cut perimeter (so the lampshade will not move). Hint: I let a sliver of material stay on the underside so that the cutouts would not move. you then can cut this sliver of wood with a knife and sand everything smooth. (If you use double sided tape - just cut all the way through) Finish. 1) Sand everything smooth 2) Paint if you like, or leave it like it is 3) mount lamp holder and bulb 4) mount to ceiling or wall 5) enjoy! I will add another version of this lamp soon ...
