DRO (Digital Read Out) End-mounting holes
Digital Read Out on a lathe or drill press is great, however you often need to cut down the length of the "Linear Scale". After you have cut it down, you need to drill holes for the "End Plugs" on the scale - marked with arrows on the picture. There is a drill guide svg file as a complet "End Plug" you can 3-D print.

Instructions
For drilling the holes clamp you cut down linear scale. Drill the holes the same place as the original were. The DRO end block can eventually be printed and used instead of the metal one.
