Instructions

I used white oak. One piece for the main piece 11 5/8" by 3" by 0.5" that later I will cut into two pieces one 7” L x 3” W x 0.5” and another piece for the base 4.5” L x 3” W x 0.5” I use the ¼” uncut bit and the workstation. Here are the steps: Using the 11 5/8" by 3" by 0.5" piece and the workstation, clear the interior circle for the apple charger to the full depth (Make sure you do the interior one and use inside cut). Then clear the exterior circle to 0.45” with a -0.01 tolerance using inside cut. Check for fit with your charger. Cut the mortises using Helix cutting to the full depth of 0.5” with -0.005 tolerance. Cut the cable grove to 0.35” depth with the inside cut Cut the end piece for the cable to full depth (Small part at the bottom) with an inside cut Change to vertical cut set up on the workstation and attach the 11 5/8" by 3" by 0.5" piece to cut the tenons. Make sure your workstation is set with a spacer at least 1” deep so you do not cut the workstation and that you put the right side up (The one with the wire channel facing up. cut the mortises I start with the rounded one to 0.25” and then move to the squares one to 0.75” both outside cuts. Clear the rest of the end to 0.75 with the supplied rectangles using inside cuts. Cut the tenon piece of the 11 5/8" by 3" by 0.5" so that you end up with a base of 4.5" long and the back of 7" long Test that the alignment works for your charger/case if the phone sits too high just chisel a little bit of the round ends to lower the position of the iPhone. Sand, finish, and Enjoy!!!!! I made a few variations on the project, one that I liked was to make another circle on the base and cut the base so that it only goes out of the back 3". Fee; free to use it for your personal use, gifts just not for commercial use all right reserve NePalo Cabinetmakers and Aaron Weinstock. Let me know if you come up with great modifications!
