Now I am spending hours at a desk working from home I invested in a standing desk. I wanted something to rest a foot or both feet on as I stand or sit. I am ending up standing on this for much of the day...

2 by 4 sheet of 3/4 ply. I used pre-finished. Skateboard deck grip tape.
Shaper Origin Optional - laser cutter
This was my first ever cuts with the Shaper so not the tidiest of cuts and not without issue but is perfectly functional. I think I will mill some hardwood for the next one. Shapes are outside cut, the segments within the vertical pieces are inside cut and I engraved the shape onto the top so I had a reference to stick the grip tape. I am fortunate to own a laser cutter so I was able to cut the grip tape precisely. I used 1/4 bit for everything except the screw holes and used brass wood screws to hold it all together. Next time I will cut a dado on the bottom so the vertical pieces have something to sit inside and are square - will do this on a table saw.
