Materials
- 5 layers of maple veneer for the core
dimension: approx. 304 × 200 × 0,6mm
- at least 16 pieces of MDF for the negative form
template
dimension: 400 × 195 × 19mm (enough for 6 pieces)
- MDF or solide wood for the positive form template
dimension: 304 × 87 × (25,7)mm depending on your
veneer thickness
- 8mm dowelrods
- screws
- adhesive tape
- some sacrificial/waste material
- as an alternative addition:
- black "Relea" - Fine Leather Fibre Material for the
inner layer
- slow drying wood glue on a polyurethane base (PU)
- "Complex" oil based surface coat
Tools
- basic handtools, measuring tool & clamps
- Shaper Origin (+Workstation) & standard router bits:
3mm spiral upcut router bit
6mm spiral upcut router bit
8mm spiral upcut router bit
any profile-/dovetail-cutter of your choice
- hand-held router with a rounding cutter r 12,7mm
- hand-held circular saw with rail or a table saw as an
alternative
- basic Tools to apply PU/wood-glue
- basic Tools to apply an oil based surface finish
