For all friends of functional, simple design and tidy bathrooms, I have designed a towel holder that combines technical requirements and structural simplicity

Materials

16 layers of cherry wood veneer stripes

40mm raw width

32mm finished width

cherry solid wood for the rung Ø14mm

walnut solid wood for 4 bow tie inserts 10mm thickness

eight Ø8mm × 30mm wood dowels

some waste material for your templates

slow drying wood glue

"Complex" oil based surface coat

basic Handtools

+ clamps

Shaper Origin (+Workstation) - standard router bits:

3mm spiral upcut router bit (bow tie tenon and mortise)

6mm spiral upcut router bit (dowel holes)

8mm spiral upcut router bit

basic Tools to apply an oil based surface finish

a chop saw could help at some point

hand-held router with flattening cutter

hand-held circular saw with rail or a table saw as an alternative
