Wine Display
I got this idea years ago from a guy called the Drunken Woodworker so it's not original. I made some minor dimension changes and then added the engraving. This is a quick and easy project you can make with scrap. Great gift if you include wine and glasses :)

Materials
3/4" x 6" x 12" hardwood of your choice
Tools
1/4" upcut spiral bit
Engraving bit
Saw - bandsaw, handsaw, jigsaw
Roundover bit of your choice
Instructions
Prepare your material. Engrave the text then cut out the holes. Cut out the oval. Mark a pleasing line for the glasses to slide through and connect to the hole. I like to do this by hand but you can certainly open the file and create a path and cut with SO. Roundover all surfaces and apply finish of your choice.
