Amazon: 1/8" shank; 1mm 2 flute end mill bit:
It's best to use "cast" rather than "extruded" acrylic. I found local box stores carry only extruded acrylic. The quality of the cut is better with cast and has less of a tendency to melt the acrylic while cutting Use acrylic with the cover layers intact. Remove these after engraving. This leaves a clean result without tear out. Designs: Cut on the back side of the acrylic using a reversed image. This creates a better result with LED lighting. To reverse an image in Studio, use shortcut on bottom of screen for horizontal flip I've included both versions -- the originals and the reversed Engrave using 1mm cutter (1/8" shank) or engraving bit Slow the cutting spindle (motor) speed to 1-2 to prevent melting Keep auto speed at default 10 Ipm (Inches per minute) Cut depth 0.02 to 0.03” Online cuts Use auto-locked feature (double press green button to start cut) for a smoother rate and less chance of bit breakage (1mm bits break quite easily but not terribly costly @ about $1/bit) I purchased the LED bases from Amazon but they certainly could be made if you have the LED and switches
