5mm Birch Plywood - 2x4' 3/8" inch Dowel - 6" or 10mm Festool Domino - 750mm
Shaper Origin 1/8" upcut bit
Alas, poor Yorick! This is a great beginners project. This project has 2 versions. They are basically the same except for the rod that connects all the pieces. "Domino" uses a 10mm Festool Domino for piece orientation and construction. "Dowel" uses a 3/8" dowel. It doesn't automatically orient the pieces but A dowel is easier to obtain than the Festool Domino. Steps: 1. Cut out all 28 pieces out of the 5mm 2x4' sheet 2. Lightly sand edges of all pieces 3. Organize and run dowel through holes 4. Add light layer of glue in between each layer and clamp Bonus: for added polished look, don't cut dowel holes for pieces 1 & 28. Glue end pieces on last to hide dowel Note: Dowel holes are sized for 10mm Festool Domino (750mm) but can easily be changed by applying an offset to origin Special thanks to Lee for his additions.
