Using maple and walnut laminate the two pieces together. Then plane down the maple side until it is one eighth (1/8) inch thick. Plane down walnut side till one reaches the desired thickness. I planed this one down to three quarters (3/4) inches. The stock I started with was walnut 3/4x5x24 inches and maple 1/2x5x24 inches one piece each.

Shaper Origin

0.25 inch Spiral down cut End Mill to cut out the board.

Amana Tool 45982 Carbide Tipped Bowl & Tray 1/4 R x 3/4 D x 5/8 CH x 1/4 Inch SHK Router Bit for the pockets.

Instructions

I used tic-tac’s as the game pieces. They were tasty and provided the game with pieces to use. One could also use M&M’s. I also used cooking oil to finish the part and seal the wood. Reapply over the years as needed.
