-1" thick Hardwood (body and wedge) -3/8" x 1 1/4" x ?" (arm) -Pencil lead (Staedtler 2mm)
-Origin -Workstation -1/8" roundover bit -11 degree Tapered Bit (Shaper Store) -1/4" x 1" End-Mill (Shaper Store)
-Mill your arm material to exact thickness and width. -Round over the edges with the 1/8" radius bit. -On Workstation, cut the wedge first leaving at least two tabs (so it doesn't break loose) -Cut the throat of the marking gauge first with a 1/4" x 1" bit. Test fit and adjust. -Then change to the Tapered bit, set bit diameter to 0" and cut only between the two dog-bones. Test fit and adjust.
