Instructions

If you would like to customize this plant stand and build it using on-tool CAD, follow along with the Youtube video of Sessions. If you would prefer to build it in the dimensions I did, you can download the pre-made files for it. Turning Template: Cut this first out of any spare sheet you have around the shop. Thickness is not critical here, as long as the template isn't too flexible. Apron: Bring your material to size using a jointer, planer, and table saw, or start with pre-milled material. Cut the tenons using Origin and Workstation. Legs: Bring your material to size using a jointer, planer, and table saw, or start with pre-milled material. Mortise the legs using Origin and Workstation, checking fit against your already-cut tenons. Make sure to do this before turning, otherwise the legs will be much more difficult to align and clamp to Workstation. Once your legs are mortised, turn them down to size and shape, regularly checking against your template. Joinery: The legs and apron are glued, with the top attached with Figure 8 fasteners to allow for expansion.
