Instructions

If you want to have the copper pipe accent, start by cutting the hole for it in middle section of the pie stand. Make sure creep in with your offset and test fit the pipe after every pass in order to get the best fit. Next, cut out the middle section completely so you can test fit the mortises in the top and bottom. Cut the mortises and profiles of the top and bottom piece. NOTE: always be sure to creep up on the final line using offsets in order to get the best fit. This design is for wood that I planed down to exactly .72" thick. I used epoxy to glue the copper pipe in after I cut it down to size. If you don't want to use the copper pipe, that area would be a great place for an engraving of your choosing. Sand all parts, chamfer edges and glue together. Once dry, apply finish and enjoy!
