- Forming pliers or needle nose pliers
- 1/8" bit
- 1/16" bit
- Sandpaper
- Double sided tape
For the Pendants: Place double sided tape on the wood over all the parts you will cut, making sure that it is stuck to your surface firmly. Place the designs on interesting parts of the grain. Using the 1/16" bit cut the holes at the top of each earring all the way through. Helix mode makes this easy! Using the 1/8" bit cut out the profiles of each pendant. These are small and fiddly, some tips: - use offsets to make the pendants larger if desired - on the finishing pass leave an onion skin or small tabs behind, otherwise the pendant might come loose and get damaged while cutting. Sand and finish Assembling the Earrings: Open a triangular jump ring using your pliers Slide the pendant on and close the jump ring Open a circular jump ring Slide on the ear wires and the triangular jump ring you just attached to the pendant and close the circular jump ring Video on how to open and close a jump ring: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rzhcGvr9mos Other Ideas: You can use these designs to make a necklace rather than earrings. I did this with one of the designs and used this chain: https://www.riogrande.com/product/sterling-silver-wheat-chains/61226018gp
