This is a cam-style clamp for use with MFT or dog hole style work surfaces. It allows you to quickly and securely clamp your workpiece. It clamps low to the table and should not interfere with Origin's ability to move about the work surface.

Materials

Thin wood of your choice

3/4" diameter wooden dowel

Tools

1/4" or smaller up-cut bit

Instructions

The wood used should be strong enough to withstand moderate clamping pressures. The body should be as thin or thinner than the wood you are using them to clamp. The svg shows what will end up as the underside of the clamp. This is so that if you wish to pocket the hole for the dowel instead of cutting all the way through you do not need to mirror the svg. If you prefer your clamp to tighten left-handed you can simply cut the hole through and install the dowel section from the far side. Cut your dowel section so that you have approximately 1/2" of dowel protruding from the hole. Every dowel is different so use offsets to increase the size of the hole until you have a snug fit. Glue the dowel into the hole. These are intended to be disposable in the event that you accidentally cut into them.
