Vacuum hold down table Created by Philip1 — This is a vacuum table top I built to hold smaller pieces of work for the Shaper Origin. My shop vac provides enough suction to hold down MDF 'plates' and the flat wood being routed. Build & use video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X45RQ_H6gSo

Check out the build video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X45RQ_H6gSo File '32x39_PegBoard.svg' includes all the holes, but early versions of the Origin software lagged loading it, so I broke it up into three parts that I cut in batches. Yes, you can drill the holes with something other than Origin. They really don't need to be accurately spaced. Vacuum: Since we are pulling a vacuum and not moving much air, you want a vacuum with a cooling fan. Many rely on air moving through the vacuum for cooling and will overheat. I have seen builds where these are built with actual vacuum pumps too.
