Instructions

I started with a large sheet of engraver's plate, which gave me plenty of surface area to put ShaperTape. In terms of setting the depth of cut for the engraving, it is worth experimenting with too shallow at first, and then going deeper. Touch off and then set your depth to 0.000" initially, and adjust from there. I found that shallow cuts ran the risk of not fully removing the colored top layer, but deep cuts would make the text too bold. In particular, it was a bit difficult to keep the depth exactly consistent towards the edges, because Origin would start to tip off the edge. A better setup would involve putting some scrap material of the same thickness around the edges to support Origin.
